With every luxury home comes an amazing pool and outdoor living area. Building a concrete pool involves several key steps. First, the desired area is excavated, and the ground is leveled. Steel reinforcing bars (rebar) are then laid out in a grid pattern to provide structural strength. Plumbing lines are set in place, and a wooden framework is constructed around the perimeter to shape the pool’s edge. Concrete, often in the form of gunite or shotcrete, is then sprayed over the rebar. Once the concrete cures, it is smoothed and finished with pebble, tiles, or other surface materials. Finally, the pool is filled with water.
