Home flood elevations have continued to climb in southwest Florida. With recent storms over the past few years bringing in more significant storm surges, we have had to adapt as builders in the area. With more water comes higher elevations. This video shows a home with an 11-foot finished floor. This is 11 feet above sea level. In other areas of Collier County, elevations can be higher per code. Building higher isn’t always going to prevent water from entering the home. But we build to give people the peace of mind that their homes will withstand some of the most powerful storms that come through.
